Naming Rights Programme

Through this programme an individual or an organization can donate for naming rights for facilities to be made available in the Rehabilitation Care Home for Mentally Challenged Persons. The facility will then be marked with a plaque to show our appreciation for their generous contribution. We hope to develop relationships with a variety of corporate sponsors willing to donate to our organization.
In India, a large number of Challenged or differently-able or disabled Persons affected with Autism, Cerebral Palsy (CP), Mental Retardation (MR), Multiple Disabilities and Mental illness normally can not avail the opportunities to optimize their self-dependency as the requisite infrastructural facilities and trained human resources are not available in domestic care. Each differently able person has some inherent abilities and potentialities, which are to be regularly sharpened and shaped through their exposure to a range of education, therapy, training and socialization. Whereas almost cent percent of population belonging to these categories of disorders are left with their families their developmental needs cannot be fulfilled.

Vocational Training & Placement

The programme will extend to both differently abled boys and girls with latent talent of the age group of 15 years and above, who are to be identified by a group of experts. There will be no discrimination in terms of political, social, religious status and caste or creed of the persons. 20 persons will be chosen for the 2010-2011.
Marketing :
During and after training, participants will be encouraged to create such items, which will give them pleasure of creation and are marketable. Arogya Sandhan has already got offer from NRIs of purchasing these products and will professionally arrange exhibition/showrooms for selling these products.
Level of confidence and Self-reliance of challenged persons
Sale proceeds of their products so realized will be given to the creators and this process will not only give them pleasure of earnings, self-realization and satisfaction but also increase their level of confidence. This will rekindle confidence in the mind of their parents.
Why Sponsorship:
Almost EACH mentally challenged person possesses some latent talent. It requires a concerted effort to complete a cycle of finding out talent and then arranging training and generating a gainful placement in the society. It has been a physically, mentally and financially costly affair for majority of parents to manage the mentally challenged child single handedly as our society has not been showing requisite awareness and response to the various needs of parents. Before it is too late, let us take a vow that each one us should do our level best to sponsor a mentally challenged person for his/her self-dependence.
